Light Moment as Azeezah Teaches Jeff Koinange Arbantone Dance, Slang: “Gotha Tena”

Multi-award-winning media personality and 10/10 show host, Azeezah, had a lighthearted moment with revered news anchor Jeff Koinange during a shoot, where she introduced him to the Arbantone dance and its associated slang.

 In a video shared on her TikTok, she is seen enjoying quality time with the famous anchor, demonstrating new moves and words that have become popular with the rise of the Arbantone music genre.

Azeezah explained to Jeff that “ngumi mbwegze,” a popular greeting using both fists, has now retired, and a new greeting called “kugotha” has taken its place.

The two enjoyed each other’s company as Jeff keenly followed Azeezah’s moves. They appeared to be in a studio, with a white cloth backdrop typically used in photography.

At the end of the dance, Jeff could be seen perfectly executing the viral “Gotha Tena” dance, which has captivated Kenyan youth.

Jeff Hails Azeezah’s Talent

In a separate part of the TikTok video, which Azeezah captioned, Jeff praised her talent, particularly highlighting her voice.

The two performed a voice test by saying “mambo mambo” along with their names, and Jeff couldn’t help but commend Azeezah’s articulate voice.
