  • Fresh memories of Brian Chira’s tragic death overwhelmed his best friend, Jude Magambo, also known as Manzi wa Meru, causing him to collapse in a dramatic swoon yesterday
  • Magambo, along with four other TikTokers who were close to Chira, gathered at Chira’s grandmother’s place to clean his grave and plant fresh flowers
  • The group’s visit, meant to honor their friend, turned emotional as Magambo’s uncontrollable grief filled the air, making others to also break down

Jude Magambo couldn’t bear the pain of seeing his best friend’s grave again.

He collapsed to the ground in a dramatic swoon, crying bitterly yesterday, as he and four other TikTokers, who were part of Brian Chira’s close circle, gathered at Chira’s grandmother’s place to clean his grave and plant fresh flowers.

Among the group were Manzi wa Mombasa, Chesoni, and TikToker Obidan Dela, who all arrived together in one vehicle.

In a clip shared by Chesoni, whom TikTokers claim was Chira’s boyfriend, Magambo is seen wailing uncontrollably and visibly shaken as he came to terms with the tragic demise of his best friend.

The TikTokers planted fresh flowers on Chira’s grave and met with his grandmother to console her, sharing in her grief.

The group surrounded the grave after planting the flowers, joined by Chira’s grandmother and cousins.

They then broke into a song, praying for the rest of the fallen TikToker’s soul, who was buried nearly two months ago in a funeral that drew thousands of people.

Jude Magambo, an LGBTQ member popularly known as Manzi wa Meru, was arguably the closest to Chira. In the clip, he is seen losing control and falling, crying loudly.

Chira, beloved for his engaging content, tragically met his death after dashing onto a highway while drunk, where he was struck by a white canter truck, killing him instantly.

The news of his death brought the internet to a halt, especially on TikTok, where he had gained much fame.

By the time he was laid to rest, TikTokers had contributed up to Ksh 8 million to aid his grandmother, but the contribution ended in controversy as the grandmother accused Baba Talisha, who was in charge of the funds, of laundering and extravagance.
