  • Mama Jimmy and her mzungu husband enjoyed a volleyball match with church members just days after moving to the US from Kisii
  • The couple, who went viral on TikTok for their unique intercultural family, joined the church community for a friendly game, with Baba Jimmy documenting the event
  • Netizens reacted to their video with curiosity and admiration, noting their Amish lifestyle and wondering if Mama Jimmy had made efforts to learn English

Kisii woman Mama Jimmy, who is married to mzungu husband, couldn’t hide her joy as she joined her hubby and other church members for a volleyball match in the US.

This comes days after the couple, who had lived in Kisii, Kenya, for over six years, moved back to the US.

Though the husband is a native of the American nation, Mama Jimmy and their two children had never left Kenya and had experienced significant visa delays.

The couple went viral on TikTok, where Baba Jimmy, a preacher, frequently posts videos of their everyday life with his Kenyan wife, impressing Kenyans with his fluency in the Kisii language and Kiswahili.

In a video shared on their studio’s Tiktok handle Wajumbe Records, Baba Jimmy is seen recording his wife on the playground, while explaining that they were there to play and watch matches between church groups.

Several white people could be seen in the background playing volleyball, with Baba Jimmy explaining that teams were taking turns based on which group won the round.

Mama Jimmy, as usual, wore a smiling face and supported her husband’s narrative.

Their children were also in the picture, playing in a different section of the field with other kids near an old tractor.

Netizens, particularly fellow Kenyans, quickly shared their thoughts on the video.
