  • A Kenyan TikToker has written a viral letter to President William Ruto, asking to replace the fired Health CS Susan Nakhumicha
  • Claiming to be a qualified medic, he criticized Nakhumicha as incompetent and urged the president to hire him immediately
  • He also mentioned he couldn’t bribe for the job due to his current unemployment

A Kenyan TikToker has written a letter to President William Ruto, requesting to be considered as the immediate replacement for former Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha.

The handwritten letter has gone viral, and the TikToker’s bold demand has stunned many.

The letter was directly addressed to the president, complete with his mailbox address, and demanded that he not make any excuses about the lack of opportunity, noting that he has yet to replace the fired CSs.

The letter, seen by this writer, also criticized the outgoing Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha as incompetent.

The TikToker, who claimed to be a qualified medic with legitimate certificates, emphasized his ability to handle matters related to the posting of interns.

He urged President Ruto to make haste in hiring him, asserting his competence and readiness to address issues pertaining to clinical officers and healthcare workers.

The most striking and interesting part of the one-page letter was its conclusion, where the TikToker informed the president that he did not have the money to bribe him for the job, as he was currently unemployed.

The letter has elicited mixed reactions, even as Kenyans nationwide continue to express joy at the president’s decision to dissolve his entire cabinet.

Susan Nakhumicha served as the Health CS until July 11, when the president decided to send her home following two years of complaints from Kenyans and doctors about her incompetence.

On numerous occasions, Nakhumicha bore the brunt of the health crises in the country, leading to growing dissent against her.

This culminated recently when medical interns slept outside Afya House due to the government’s perceived reluctance to post them as required by law.
