  • A CBC teacher was left speechless as her pupils burst into chants of “Ruto must go” during class
  • The unexpected outburst followed a discussion about presidential ambitions, catching the teacher off guard
  • Netizens are buzzing about the young students’ surprising political awareness and their vocal demand for change

Tiktoks Teacher Cillah was left in shock after her young lower-grade students broke into chants of “Ruto must go” during a class.

The teacher shared a video of the moment she was conducting her usual teaching activities when the children suddenly began chanting, leaving her stunned.

The surprising incident occurred after the teacher asked a pupil, Joseph, to explain why he wanted to become a president when he grew up.

Joseph, taking his time, told the class that he wanted to be a president because a president is rich and people obey him.

Upon hearing the word “president,” the pupils, who many netizens wondered how they were aware of the political situation in the country, began shouting “Ruto must go,” prompting the teacher to silence them.

The chants grew louder as the children added fervor to their voices, continuing for several minutes before the teacher was able to fully quiet them.

Netizens quickly commented on the teacher, recently honored for her exceptional teaching skills after sharing her videos on TikTok.

Many praised the children’s awareness of the country’s political situation despite their young age, while others said the future of Kenya looks promising because they clearly won’t tolerate poor governance.

Some questioned which side the teacher was on regarding the anti-Ruto and anti-finance bill protests, while others asked if she had changed her favorite student from Joseph, as he was the one she used to ask questions more frequently.

The “Ruto must go” chants are currently prevalent in Kenya as many citizens continue to pressure for the president’s resignation and demand accountable and corruption-free governance.

Tomorrow, July 16th, is expected to be the mother of all protests, following similar ones on June 25th that shook Kenya and the world.
