Diamond Platnumz’s long-time manager, SK Sallam, has disclosed that the production of the highly anticipated “Komasava” remix, featuring American pop star Jason Derulo, went down at a budget of KSh 26 million.

The video, which has quickly climbed to the top of Kenya’s trending charts, was shot across multiple exotic locations including Dubai and Paris, with each scene meticulously planned and executed by a team of three different directors.

Sallam detailed that the hefty budget covered various expenses such as logistics, location fees, and accommodation for all involved, including South African Amapiano stars Chley and Khalil.

Despite the tight deadline and financial pressures, Platnumz and his team pulled off a visually stunning project that clocked 1 million views within just 14 hours of release.

Diamond Platnumz Faces Backlash Over English Slip-Up in Conversation with Jason Derulo

Previously, we reported that the Bongo Flava icon hooked up with American pop and RnB Star Jason Derulo in Dubai to shoot the ‘Komosava’ video, and his English mastery failed him terribly once again.

When asked, “When did you get in town?” Diamond responded with, “Second right? Second in the morning,” which left many talking online.

This isn’t the first time Diamond has been trolled for his English, as in 2022, he caused a stir by saying, “I’m 31st,” when asked his age, leading to a flood of memes and jokes.

Despite these gaffes, many fans defend him, while others wondered whether he had fired an English teacher he had hired.
