  • Bradley Mtall, Kenya’s tallest man at 27, recently revealed that he has never worn shoes in his life due to his unusually large feet, which require a size 48/49
  • The Vihiga County native, who has become a viral sensation said he struggles daily with finding clothes that fit and has to pay for extra seats when he uses public transport
  • Despite these challenges, Bradley, who was speaking at Citizen TV said his focus is on providing for his two children while working as a conductor in Nairobi

Bradley Mtall, a 27-year-old from Vihiga County, has captivated the nation as Kenya’s tallest man, with his towering stature turning him into an overnight social media sensation.

But behind the fame lies a story of extraordinary challenges, many of which most people would never even consider.

In an exclusive interview with Royal Media Services, Bradley candidly shared the realities of living with his exceptional height.

One of the most striking revelations he made was that he has never worn shoes in his life—his feet are simply too large for any standard shoe sizes available in the market.

With a shoe size ranging between 48 and 49, finding footwear that fits has been an impossible task.

“I’ve never worn shoes because they just don’t make them in my size,” Bradley explained, shedding light on a struggle that most people take for granted.

The challenges extend beyond footwear.

Shopping for clothes has been another uphill battle, particularly when Bradley visits popular markets like Gikomba in Nairobi.

“Nguo kupatikana ndio shida nikienda kama hapa soko Gikomba…Watu wanajaa wanataka kuona huyu mtu mrefu ametoka wapi? Sasa kama kupata longi ni shida ndio maana nimevaa t-shirt za backe na short,” he shared, describing how finding trousers long enough to fit him is nearly impossible.

As a result, he often resorts to wearing oversized t-shirts and shorts, a makeshift solution to a lifelong problem.

Transportation is another area where Bradley’s height presents unique difficulties. He revealed that whenever he boards a matatu (public minibus), he is forced to sit in the front seat and pay for two seats just to accommodate his long legs.

“Maybe nikae mbele na mimi hulipa hiyo viti yote,” Bradley said, noting how he often has to sit facing the window to fit comfortably.

These daily adjustments, though small, offer a glimpse into the constant challenges he faces due to his extraordinary height.

Despite the obstacles, Bradley remains resilient and focused on providing for his family.

Currently working as a conductor in Nairobi, he is determined to make ends meet and support his two children who are back home.

“I’m in town trying to make a living and provide for my family,” he stated, reflecting on the responsibilities that weigh heavily on his broad shoulders.
