  • Ivy Chelimo, who coined the viral ‘Riggy G’ nickname for Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, secured a job in his communications team after the nickname gained attention
  • She met with the DP, requested a job, and has now worked for him for two years
  • In a recent interview, Ivy shared why she chose to work in communications and how the experience working for the countries’ second in command has been so far

Ivy Chelimo, the creative genius behind Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s catchy nickname ‘Riggy G’, recently opened up about her remarkable journey from a viral sensation to a key player in the Deputy President’s communications team.

What started as a playful twist on the DP’s name unexpectedly transformed Chelimo’s career.

In a candid interview on Homeboyz Radio, Chelimo shared how her life took an incredible turn when the nickname ‘Riggy G’ became a nationwide hit.

Soon after, she was contacted by none other than the DP’s son, who delivered life-changing news.

“After the name went viral, the DP’s son reached out to me and said his father wanted to see me,” Chelimo recalled.
