  • Digital creator Sheryl Gabriella has blasted Willy Paul for downplaying her role in making his song Kuukuu a viral sensation
  • According to Sheryl, her TikTok challenge sparked the track’s newfound fame, but Willy Paul claims his own celebrity status was the real reason for its success
  • To top it off, instead of flying her to Dubai as promised, the singer offered her a video vixen role in his next song, leaving Sheryl disappointed

Digital creator Sheryl Gabriella has called out Willy Paul for dismissing her role in skyrocketing his hit song Kuukuu to viral fame.

During a recent live session, Sheryl revealed that the singer downplayed her influence, claiming that the song trended because of his fame rather than her wildly popular TikTok challenge.

Willy Paul dropped Kuukuu six months ago, but it wasn’t until Sheryl jumped on it with her catchy reaction video that it went viral, racking up views and creating a buzz online.

Fans across TikTok were vibing to her challenge, pushing the song into the spotlight once again.

But according to Sheryl, instead of thanking her for the boost, Willy Paul offered a rather eyebrow-raising ‘thank you’ – asking her to star as a video vixen in his upcoming project.

“Na akaniambia. One way of appreciating me is by writing a song, na nikue vixen kwa hiyo song,” Sheryl shared in disbelief.

The audacity!Despite her disappointment, Sheryl made it clear that she never sought recognition from Willy Paul.

In fact, she was hesitant to meet him, but he insisted – only to turn around and take all the credit for Kuukuu’s success.

He reportedly told her, “I’m a big deal, that’s why the song trended.”

Frustrated with his attitude, Sheryl decided to channel her energy into another star’s music, posting a reaction to Diamond Platnumz’s song, which quickly overtook Willy Paul’s on her TikTok.

“I’m also a brand,” she said defiantly. “You just sing your song without me, good luck. He told me I would regret it, but it’s okay.”

And let’s not forget – Willy Paul had originally promised to fly Sheryl to Dubai as a token of appreciation.
