The final autopsy report from Kenyatta University Funeral Home has confirmed that popular content creator and actress Tabitha Gatwiri died from brain oedema resulting from positional asphyxia.

Gatwiri’s family and friends, who have been in deep mourning since her sudden passing on October 31, 2024, are now awaiting a full toxicology report to rule out any possibility of poisoning or intoxication.

Gatwiri, well-loved for her humorous skits and signature Meru accent, had only recently shared a short video on Instagram on October 29, engaging her fans with the humor and authenticity that endeared her to many.

Her passing has left an outpouring of grief from her followers and fellow creators alike, who have taken to social media to express their sorrow.

According to an update from the family, the toxicology report will provide additional clarity, as they continue to seek answers surrounding Gatwiri’s untimely death.

“We’re deeply heartbroken, and only hope to find closure in knowing all the details,” shared a family representative.
