Gakuo, a key figure within the prominent family, was found dead at his residence in Karen on Wednesday, November 6.

Police investigations revealed that he died by hanging, with a suicide note found next to him. The sudden and unexpected nature of his death has left family members and close associates in deep shock and mourning.

According to a statement released by the family, Gakuo is survived by his wife, Sheila Wanjiku Mwangi, and his siblings—Gabriela, Maina, Christine, and Margaret Kenyatta.

Gakuo, born in Kangema, Murang’a County, was the son of Dr. Ephantus Njuguna Gakuo, a renowned former director of the Kenya Railways Corporation, who played a pivotal role in the development of the country’s transport infrastructure.
