  • Just a few weeks after the heartbreaking loss of her husband, Rachael Otuoma has traveled to Mombasa for a fully sponsored three-day vacation aimed at helping her unwind and find solace
  • The widow of the late footballer Ezekiel Otuoma was spotted arriving in Mombasa, visibly in brighter spirits
  • Rachael’s getaway, funded by Adequate Safaris, comes as a brief reprieve following the emotional toll of losing her husband and organizing his final send-off

Rachael Otuoma, widow of late footballer Ezekiel Otuoma, has arrived in Mombasa for a three-day, fully paid vacation sponsored by Adequate Safaris.

The trip comes just weeks after the heart-wrenching death of her husband and is intended to help her unwind after the stress of organizing his burial and coping with the pain of loss.

In a video shared on her TikTok page on Sunday, January 26, 2025, the content creator and interior designer expressed her joy and eagerness to take a break from life’s pressures.

The clip shows her alighting from a plane dressed in a red t-shirt and denim shorts, warmly embracing a friend who accompanied her to the coast.

Earlier, Rachel had posted another video showing herself, the CEO of Adequate Safaris, and her friend at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport as they prepared to board their flight to Mombasa.

She appeared in high spirits, seen pulling her luggage before heading to the ticketing area.

When Did Ezekiel Otuoma Pass Away?

Former AFC Leopards forward Ezekiel Otuoma passed away on the night of Friday, December 20, 2024, after a long battle with Motor Neuron Disease (MND).

Tragically, the day also marked his wife Rachel’s birthday.

Taking to TikTok, Rachel announced the heartbreaking news with a moving tribute:

“To my husband, you left a hole in my heart that no one else can fill. The emptiness in my arms reminds me of the love we shared. Your love was a gift, and I’ll cherish it always, though it was so soon. That really broke my heart—you left on my birthday.”

“It will never be the same again. You never said you were leaving or even showed a sign. You never said goodbye. In life, I loved you dearly. In death, I love you still. In my heart, you hold a place that only you can fill.”

Since her husband’s passing, Rachel has frequently taken to social media to express her grief and share how challenging the loss has been.

She also appealed to fans for financial assistance to give Otuoma a dignified send-off.
