Comedienne Eunice Mammito is yet to remove the explosive video where she appeared to be gleefully celebrating Jowie Irungu’s murder sentencing.

Criticism began pouring in few minutes after dropping the video, with netizens condemning her for missing the joke.

In the video, Mammito can be heard cheering “Jowie! Jowie! Jowie!” as one would during a football match, while seemingly mocking and laughing at him.

People online questioned why she would take such a tack to jest and laugh about a death sentence that had many Kenyans sympathizing with Jowie.

Mammito Issues Statement

In a morning response, the comedienne issued a statement, saying it was amusing how many netizens were hurling insults at her instead of channeling that energy into more important stuff like corruption.

Mammito went on to defended herself, claiming she was not as physically attractive as the convicted Irungu, and asserted she wouldn’t joke about someone she found beautiful.

I Have a witnessed a very rare occurrence something that has not happened since 2002 people from every background uniting together for a reason, to cook me. It gives me hope for the future that one day we shall unite and fight against corruption and other things ailing our country. Am in hot fire now, my soul weeps. Lam but a small thin woman with no buttocks and am not as attractive, how dare I joke about a beautiful accused person, but your unity how It fills my soul.
