Charlene Ruto Untouchable After Model Farm Project In Uasin Gishu Turns Out Successfully: “Love Farming”

  • Charlene Ruto celebrated the success of her model farm project in Uasin Gishu County and flaunted healthy crops, particularly sukuma wiki and capsicum
  • Charlene shared her passion for farming and explained that all harvest would be donated to neighbouring Kosachel primary school to support its feeding program
  • Charlene explained that the project was one among many others that she had started in the country, and hailed that it was part of a broader initiative to encourage youth participation in agriculture

First daughter Charlene Ruto couldn’t hide her joy after a model farm project she started a few weeks ago in Uasin Gishu county came out successfully, with all crops doing well.

In a video on her official TikTok page which goes by the username @Charlene Ruto, the cool kid revealed that she has a deep passion for farming and that the immense success of such projects inspires her further into it.

Charlene said they had planted several crops with sukuma wiki being the main one and flaunted the good progress that the crops had made.

She said that her biggest happiness was the fact that the crops were nearly ready for harvesting, and that Kosachei primary school, where they did the project would benefit greatly as all the harvest would go into its feeding program.

Charlene said the school’s pupils had invested great efforts in managing the farm which she started with the Smach Foundation, and hailed that it would come a long way in supporting the school’s feeding system.

Charlene showed different portions of divided land where several crops including kales, tomatoes, and capsicum had been planted.

She explained plans to plant cabbage and carrots in the remaining portions that were well tilled and ready for transplanting.

Encouraging youth into farming, Charlene highlighted the importance of agricultural ventures.

She noted that the model farm project in Kosachei Primary School in Uasin Gishu County was one among many others that they had started in the country.

She went further to explain that the efforts to have many thriving model farms in the country had come with great support of the Swach Foundation, with which she has been partnering, all in a bid to encourage Kenyan youth to try their hand in farming.

Charlene said the results of the not-so-old project were beyond thrilling.

She expressed her desire to see Kenyan youth consider the lucrative venture.
