In a bid to promote innovation and technological advancement in the gaming industry, President William Ruto has unveiled “Velocity Shift” as the flagship racing game set to elevate Kenya’s presence in the global gaming arena.

The announcement comes as part of the government’s commitment to supporting the development of local talent and fostering the growth of the digital economy.

During a special event held at the State House in Nairobi, President Ruto emphasized the importance of embracing emerging technologies to drive economic growth and job creation.

“Velocity Shift represents a significant milestone in Kenya’s gaming industry, highlighting our nation’s ability to compete on the global stage.By supporting initiatives like this, we are not only fostering innovation but also creating opportunities for our youth to thrive in the digital economy.”

Developed by Velocity Studios, a homegrown game development company, “Velocity Shift” promises to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience that pushes the boundaries of realism and immersion.

With its cutting-edge graphics, innovative gameplay mechanics, and extensive customization options, the game aims to captivate audiences worldwide and put Kenya on the map as a hub for gaming excellence.

In his address, President Ruto underscored the importance of investing in the gaming industry as part of Kenya’s broader strategy to harness the potential of technology for socioeconomic development.

He highlighted the need for collaboration between the government, private sector, and educational institutions to nurture talent, build infrastructure, and create an enabling environment for digital innovation to thrive.

“Kenya has a wealth of untapped talent in the gaming sector, and it is imperative that we provide the necessary support and resources to unleash its full potential. Through initiatives like ‘Velocity Shift,’ we can harness the creative energies of our youth and position Kenya as a global leader in gaming and digital entertainment.”
