Over 400 widows residing in Majengo estate, Narok town, received a heartwarming Easter surprise as a local peace organization extended a helping hand, providing them with essential food items.

Narok County Peace Ambassador Dr. Joshua Kaputa spearheaded the initiative, emphasizing the importance of extending kindness and support to those in need, especially during religious holidays.

“With Easter upon us, it’s crucial that we come together as a community to uplift the vulnerable among us,” stated Dr. Kaputa, underlining the significance of Christian values in aiding the less fortunate.

Expressing his commitment to ongoing support for marginalized groups, Dr. Kaputa assured the widows of continued advocacy for their rights and well-being.

Mary Mutheu, one of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude on behalf of the recipients, highlighting the critical of the food donation, which will alleviate their struggles for at least a week.

Esther Pachenya echoed similar sentiments, applauding the peace organization for their compassion and generosity, while urging others to follow suit in supporting vulnerable members of society.

The food packages distributed included staple items such as maize flour, beans, sugar, cooking oil, rice, and wheat flour, providing essential sustenance for the widows during the Easter holiday period.
