Comedian turned philanthropist Eric Omondi stepped in to help Bonface Nyaboti, who gained attention in a viral video where he was attacked over a KSh 100 debt.

Eric provided Bonface with a shop stocked with goods and a generous donation of KSh 657,000 raised by supporters of his “sisi kwa sisi” initiative.

Eric highlighted that Bonface, a single father, found himself in this situation due to unemployment, preventing him from repaying the debt.

Eric expressed his belief that his philanthropic work, inspired by his “Sisi Kwa Sisi” initiative, is a calling from God to assist struggling Kenyans, promising to continue his efforts.

The ordeal for Bonface Nyaboti began when a disturbing video emerged on social media, showing him being severely beaten due to his inability to repay a KSh 100 debt.

Concerned netizens expressed sympathy, citing the harsh realities of the economy, which has reached a pitiable climax.

Bonface’s identity as a resident of Pipeline in Imara Daima was revealed during this time.

Eric became aware of the viral clip after being tagged by netizens and promptly launched an online fundraiser.

With Eric’s intervention, the atmosphere shifted from distress to joy as Boniface’s son happily participated in the process of setting up their new shop.
