A matatu operator plying the Meru route has garnered praise on social media after he refunded students their fare.

This comes after Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu made last minute announcements that schools were not opening today, Monday, April 29.

The kind and warm hearted driver even directed them on where they could board vehicles that would take them back home, amassing widespread admiration from netizens.
