World record holders Beatrice Chebet and Faith Kipyegon have recently joined the TikTok content creation trend among Kenyan celebrities.

Just hours after their debut, the duo captivated Kenyans with a delightful dance to a Kalenjin song, evoking pride in their heritage despite being in Paris for the Olympics.

The athletes wore Nike running gear adorned with Kenyan flags and labels, complemented by Kenyan bracelets.

Their dance featured forward movements and hand gestures as they sang along to the local song word by word.

Both athletes have gone above and beyond during the ongoing Olympics, contributing to Kenya’s status as the African country with the most Olympic medals.

Chebet, a standout in track events, won two gold medals—one in the 5,000 meters and the other in the 10,000 meters—prompting an outpouring of praise from Kenyans.

Meanwhile, Faith Kipyegon secured her third consecutive gold medal at the Olympics by winning the 1,500 meters final at the Paris Games.

The 30-year-old delivered a dominant performance, clocking 3:51.29, setting a new Olympic record.

Kenya has now secured four gold medals at the Paris Olympics and may add another from the women’s marathon.

Faith Kipyegon also shared the same video on her TikTok page after Beatrice had posted it first, generating a flood of reactions.

The dance featured a song by acclaimed Kipsigis singer Joyce Langat, who was also tagged in the video.
