  • K24’s attempt to pull off an April Fools’ Day prank with Davido have backfired, and could come at a heavy cost after the singer’s recent address on the matter
  • On April 1, the media house published a story alleging that the ratified singer was caught with a cocaine haul worth KSh 18M in his private jet
  • In a statement today, Davido has vowed to take legal action against the media house, alongside other entities that aired such claims and termed them as irresponsible

Nigerian superstar Davido, known for his Afrobeat hits like Jowo, has vehemently denied allegations of being caught with cocaine, dismissing the reports as false and irresponsible.

The controversy erupted after Kenyan media house K24 published a story on April 1st, claiming that the musician was detained at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi after authorities discovered a Ksh18 million cocaine haul aboard his private jet.

In a statement released to the press, Davido, whose real name is David Adedeji Adeleke, addressed the allegations head-on, setting the record straight for his fans and followers.
