Dr Ofweneke Unveils Plans To Invest In Ghetto Artists’ Mentorship

  • Dr Ofweneke has revealed he is working on investing in the mentorship field, with his target being ghetto artists, who he said were making wrong decisions
  • The comedian was addressing claims that he should seek forgiveness from ‘G Bag na Jug’ hitmaker Stoopid boy for having called him out for asking to be paid to attend a TV interview
  • Ofweneke set the air clear saying there is no media house in Kenya which has a budget for invited guests, and called on artists to be aware of such information

Dr. Ofweneke has announced hi bid to investment in the mentorship field, specifically targeting ghetto artists whom he believes are making misguided decisions due a lack of guidance.

The comedian addressed allegations suggesting he should apologize to musician Stoopid Boy for requesting payment to attend a TV interview.

Ofweneke clarified that no media house in Kenya allocates a budget for invited guests, urging artists to be informed about this fact.

He highlighted the Music Copyright Society of Kenya’s (MCSK) failure to promptly compensate artists, resulting in financial distress that sometimes leads them to demand payment for interviews.

Unapologetic for his actions toward Stoopid Boy, Dr. Ofweneke offered to treat him and his band, Gotha City, to a complimentary lunch.

He emphasized the symbiotic relationship between the creative and media industries, suggesting that Stoopid Boy could potentially gain endorsements simply by appearing on his show.

The comedian revealed that news of his altercation with Stoopid Boy reached him while he was in a state of fasting, attributing his decision to invest in mentoring ghetto artists to divine guidance.

He expressed concern for artists like Stoopid Boy, advocating for mentorship programs to empower them to make more informed musical decisions.
