The family of Adan Ali Mohamed, a man who got shot during a daylight heist in Eastleigh, opened up about his health, disclosing his grave spinal cord injury.

The family relayed to a Citizen TV reporter the blow-by-blow account of events, that saw Adan lose a whopping KSh 3.9 million and come perilously close to losing his life.

The kin elaborated that the hefty sum, denominated in United States Dollars (USD), represented two days’ worth of cooking oil sales.

They recalled how Adan’s attempt to deposit the cash at Eastleigh’s BBS Mall was thwarted by its closure, prompting a call to a business associate who advised him to hop on a bodaboda home.

However, it was on this journey that he crossed paths with armed bandits who shot him and made off with the hefty sum wrapped in a green polythene bag.

Police have initiated an inquiry to unravel the mysteries surrounding how the assailants were privy to the bank’s closure and whether they had been scheming for days.

The family member noted that it was fortunate bystanders acted swiftly to rush Adan to the hospital, though he ultimately sustained a severe spinal cord injury.

The midnight incident plunged the neighborhood into a state of disbelief and sorrow.

Tensions flared when Hassan and the motorcycle taxi operator clashed over the fare, with Hassan proposing Sh100 while the operator demanded Sh150.

The discord escalated, resulting in Hassan being lethally wounded in the confrontation.

According to Eastleigh Voice, police reports confirm the apprehension of one suspect, shedding light on the altercation between the motorcycle taxi operator and Juja B residents.

The report delineates Abdi’s injuries as a severe stab wound on the right side of the neck.
