General Francis Ogolla’s Son Says William Ruto Was Good Friend of His Father: “No Crocodile Tears”

The son of the deceased Chief Of Defense, Francis Ogolla, has stepped forward to dispel any notion of animosity between his father and President William Ruto.

During both the memorial service and the burial yesterday, the son, who spoke eloquently about his father’s preparedness for his demise, emphasized the amicable relationship between the two highest authorities in the nation and the military.

This clarification follows President Ruto’s visibly heightened display of emotions upon learning of Ogolla’s passing, prompting public scrutiny.

Similarly, the son, echoing sentiments expressed during the memorial, mourned his father with dignity and also impressed observers with his articulate acknowledgment of Ruto’s genuine sorrow.

Ogolla, who held the highest defense position in the country, met a tragic end when the helicopter he was aboard crashed in Elgeyo Marakwet.

Ogolla’s interment took place in a modest casket, in accordance with his wish to avoid extravagant burial expenses, reportedly costing no more than KSh 7000.

Earlier reports from Nairobipost.co.ke revealed Ogolla’s preference to eschew a traditional coffin burial, as well as his wish for a prompt burial within 72 hours.

Footage from the burial captures soldiers in mourning, with tears freely flowing as they bid farewell to their leader.
