  • During the week, we broke the news that a man who had married a beautiful Indonesian woman was left in shock after discovering his ‘wife’ was a man who had disguised himself as a woman
  • In another story, we reported that a female passenger poured out her irk on a pastor who boarded their matatu to spread the gospel, saying he was forcing Christianity on people
  • Nairobipost.co.ke compiled these, among other stories that topped charts during the week, in a beautiful June 7 newsletter

Groom Discovers His Bride is a Man 12 Days After Wedding

A groom from Indonesia, known by the alias AK, discovered that his bride was actually a man nearly two weeks after their wedding.

AK had been dating his spouse, Adinda Kanza, for a year after meeting on Instagram, and they tied the knot in a small ceremony on April 12.

However, suspicions arose when Adinda consistently avoided consummating the marriage, claiming illness or menstruation.

Adinda, who wore a traditional Muslim niqab covering her entire face, had convinced AK of her deep devotion to Islam.

However, AK’s suspicions led him to investigate Adinda’s past, revealing that his bride was actually a man named ESH, whose parents were unaware of any relationship or marriage.

ESH has since been arrested and faces fraud charges, potentially leading to a four-year prison sentence. The police noted that ESH’s feminine behavior, voice, and appearance had effectively deceived AK.

City Preacher Who Boarded Matatu To Preach To Passengers Baffled As Woman Lectures Him

A city preacher who routinely boarded a matatu to deliver his sermon to the passengers met his moment of truth when a woman stood up and confronted him.

The incident, captured in a video shared on TikTok, shows the woman rising from her seat to admonish the preacher, who was dressed in a suit and carrying a Bible.

The video vividly captures the preacher’s shocked reaction as he stared into the woman’s camera, which was panned to show his full figure.

The woman criticized the preacher and others like him, accusing Christian evangelists of habitually boarding matatus to preach without considering if passengers are willing to listen.

She lamented that her peaceful commute was disrupted by the preacher’s unsolicited sermon, arguing that Christians often disregard free speech and autonomy.

KRG the Don Vows to Set Example With Bodaboda Rider Who Snatched His iPhone

Musician KRG the Don has issued a stern warning to a bodaboda rider who stole his phone on a Nairobi street, angrily vowing to teach the thief a lesson.

The musician, who shared several screenshots of his tracking process, stated he would not let the thief get away with the handset and intended to use the incident to set an example for other thieves.

In one screenshot shared on his Instagram, the ‘Mambo Imechemka’ hitmaker showed his progress in tracking down the thief.

The screenshot indicated that the thief had headed to Mwiki in the Kasarani sub-county of Nairobi. KRG noted that Mwiki was nearby and expressed confidence in catching the thief soon.

KRG also mentioned he would work with law enforcement to bring the thief to justice for stealing his prized iPhone 14, unlike other cases where thieves get away with stealing Android handsets.

The singer, who recently collaborated with Konshens, vowed to use all available means to apprehend the thief to prevent such crimes in his neighborhood, noting that such incidents were becoming more frequent.

Njugush’s Son Tugi Rejects New Kitenge Shirt in Hilarious Clip: “Nakaa Pastor”

The eldest son of revered comedian Timothy Kimani, also known as Njugush, humorously rejected a new kitenge shirt, likening it to a pastor’s attire.

In a hilarious clip shared by his mother, Celestine Ndinda, on Instagram, Tugi is seen leaning against a wall, explaining that the shirt looked like a dress and made him uncomfortable.

Tugi’s candid confessions left his mother in stitches as he described how the shirt’s long length didn’t sit well with him.

The shirt, a unique piece typically worn by affluent Nigerian men, featured an elegant beige design around the neck and an animal print that added to its appeal.

Despite Tugi’s reservations, the shirt paired perfectly with his tight denim trousers.

Throughout the video, Celestine is heard laughing and explaining to Tugi that the shirt, though it might look like a dress to some, is quite stylish and resembles an outfit worn by Nigerian celebrity Jojo.

In the caption, Celestine lamented her struggle to find the exact shirt, expressing her disappointment that Tugi didn’t like it.
