Rapper Nazizi has disclosed the difficulty she’s experiencing in engaging with the outside world and socializing, all stemming from a deep sense of sadness triggered by her son’s passing in December 2023.

Nazizi, who has been openly discussing her struggles in dealing with the tragedy on social media, expressed reaching a point where venturing outside no longer holds appeal, highlighting the gravity of her emotional turmoil.

She emphasized that she is still in the process of healing and declined attempts from friends begging her to venture outside.

“To everyone encouraging me to get out of the house, thank you but…It’s been two and a half months of this battle,”

The artist elaborated on societal expectations regarding overcoming profound grief, expressing frustration with advice suggesting easy recovery and the notion of putting on a smile.

She said it was not witand pretending as if nothing happened, deeming such guidance nonsensical.

“The world doesn’t wait for the grieving, It expects you to bounce back. See things positively, be grateful, and smile politely when being told ‘time is a healer.’ All of these things have felt like bullshit to me,”

Nazizi conveyed heartfelt appreciation for the steadfast support she has received from loved ones during her most challenging times.

Nazizi’s son, Jazeel Adam, tragically passed away in December while the family was vacationing in Tanzania.

 The heartbreaking news was announced on December 26th, 2023, sending shockwaves through both the entertainment industry and beyond.

 During this period of disbelief, Nazizi shared a poignant post mourning her beloved son and articulating her profound sorrow, describing his loss as leaving a significant void within her.

“It is with profound sorrow and deepest heartache that we confirm the tragic passing of Jazeel, the beloved son of Nazizi Hirji on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2023, in Tanzania. In these dark times, the light of a child’s life—in all its innocence and joy—is undeniably the purest. The void left by the loss is both immeasurable, and the pain is unbearable,”
