An Instagram socialite has asked netizens to rate the work of a nail technician she met during protests in Nairobi CBD.

The socialite, Miss Brenda Michelle, shared that the nail technician approached her while they were carrying placards and protesting, advertising himself as a professional nail technician.

Miss Brenda Michelle revealed that she had hired him to do her nails.

She was beyond impressed with his work and invited netizens to share their thoughts on the quality of her nails.

She recalled that the nail technician didn’t have any pictures to show her during the protests, but she decided to hire him anyway.

In a video, the two are seen together as the technician begins to work on her nails.

After perfectly cutting and shaping them, the socialite was amazed but waited to see the final product before expressing her happiness.

She mentioned that the technician, who goes by the username “nails_by_larry,” was quiet and didn’t talk much during the session, suggesting he might be an introvert.

Socialite Inquires About Larry’s Training

The socialite felt compelled to ask Larry where he learned to do nails, given the neatness of his work.

Larry responded that doing nails was a side hustle he took up after failing to secure a job in the tourism industry.

He confided that he had studied tourism management but turned to nail work, like many of Kenya’s Gen Zs.

He explained that he learned to do nails from YouTube, and the socialite was impressed by his perfect work.

The majority gave him a rating of over 8 out of 10, with some deducting points for his lack of talkativeness.

Others, however, praised the silent nail technicians, noting that having someone who doesn’t keep talking is therapeutic.
