  • Video footage captured the moment locals overpowered the masked attackers, confiscating their weapons and handing them to the police
  • Despite police tear gas, the determined Kakamega residents filled the streets, demanding government accountability and action against corruption

Kakamega residents, who had gathered for peaceful protests, successfully disarmed hired goons armed with crude weapons intended to attack them.

The locals, participating in today’s #DaysofRageandCourage protests, overpowered the goons and handed the weapons to the police, ensuring they could protest peacefully.

Earlier in the morning, a video emerged showing these goons arriving in large numbers and positioning themselves strategically to harm the protesting locals.

The goons were wielding weapons like rungus and wore face masks to conceal their identities.
