Accompanying the steamy photos was a lengthy, heartfelt birthday caption, expressing Kawira’s deep love for Murega in sweet terms and referring to him as the most handsome man in Africa, her roommate, and her first gentleman.

The post elicited widespread reactions, with Kenyans joining in to shower her husband with love on his special day.

As for Kawira’s recent days, they have been relatively calm, with gratitude to God for delivering her from a series of troubling incidents, including allegations regarding the death of Meru blogger Mwenda and surviving a heated impeachment process.

The governor, who identifies herself as a woman of God and oversees her church in Meru town, has faced challenges since assuming office, with members of the county assembly expressing discontent with her leadership.
