Fans of the duo, long regarded as one of Kenya’s most admired celebrity couples, had begun speculating about trouble in paradise months earlier.

This was sparked during the much-publicized premiere of King Kaka’s movie, Monkey Business, where Nana Owiti left the event early, citing her children as her reason for departing.

At the time, King Kaka brushed off rumors, praising Nana’s “kind heart” and calling her a “very lovely woman.”

Despite his reassurances, keen-eyed fans noticed a palpable distance between the two during the event, with Nana opting not to address questions about their marriage, redirecting media inquiries to King Kaka instead.
