Kitengela Woman Arrested After Police Find Husband’s Rotting Body in Their Home

  • On Thursday night, authorities in Sifa farm, Kitengela, apprehended a 58-year-old woman after the disturbing discovery of her husband’s decomposing body inside their residence
  • Concerned neighbors alerted the police after noticing a foul odor emanating from the woman’s compound
  • Although the woman, who said he was waiting for his husbands body to resurrect initially denied entry to the officers, they later gained access and found the corpse lying beside her bed in the living room

A 58-year-old woman was apprehended on Thursday night by authorities in Sifa farm, Kitengela, following the disturbing discovery of her husband’s decomposing body inside their residence.

Police were alerted by concerned neighbors who noticed a foul odor emanating from the woman’s compound.

Upon arrival, officers were initially denied entry by the woman but later gained access and found the corpse lying beside her bed in the living room.

According to sources, the woman appeared unwell and malnourished, exhibiting signs of distress.

Neighbors revealed that the couple, members of a religious sect with strict dietary restrictions, maintained a reclusive lifestyle.

They claimed the woman believed her husband would be resurrected, hence keeping his body in their home.

The couple, who did not have children due to the woman’s religious beliefs, led a secluded existence, seldom interacting with the community.

 The deceased, a former Nairobi County employee, hailed from Nyeri, while his wife, a Tanzanian national, reportedly worked as a lecturer in Tanzania.

The woman was transported to Mathare Hospital for medical evaluation, while the husband’s body was taken to City Mortuary pending burial arrangements in his hometown.

The case has sparked shock and disbelief among locals, prompting further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
