  • Deputy Interior Cabinet Secretary Millicent Omanga has stepped up to challenge Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja after the unanimous shutdown of her CBD venture
  • Omanga firmly believes that her business was abruptly shut down due to her recent remarks on The Auditor General report, which put Sakaja in the hot seat
  • The enraged former senator vented her frustration on Twitter, cautioning the governor about his impunity and pledging not to yield to threats

Deputy Interior Cabinet Secretary Millicent Omanga has thrown shade at Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja after her CBD business got the boot.

The governor seems convinced that her business got the ax because of her recent remarks on The Auditor General’s report, which put Sakaja in the hot seat.

Follow our Facebook page for more updates:

The fired-up former CS took her frustration to Twitter, warning the governor about his unchecked power and swearing not to back down.

Millicent pointed out that Sakaja sent county officers to shut her business down, despite her having all the necessary paperwork.

This drama comes right after the governor’s streak of bad luck, including a hefty KSh 500K fine from the Senate for skipping a hearing.

Sakaja got summoned by the Senate Energy Committee investigating the Mradi gas explosion in Embakasi, which left 6 dead and over 200 injured on February 2nd.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna wants the Inspector General of Police, Japhet Koome, to cuff the governor and haul him before the Senate committee.

Recent flak has been flying over his corruption scandals and alleged incompetence.

Comedian-turned-philanthropist Eric Omondi and Babu Owino have both thrown punches to oust him.

Eric’s impeachment drive follows Sakaja’s recent order for city council officers to collar anyone recording them.

Follow our Facebook page for more updates:

Eric slammed the governor for being out of touch with his job, noting the irony of banning recordings while developed nations outfit officers with body cams for transparency.

This forced Sakaja to backtrack, saying officers can be recorded if it promotes transparency.
