  • Political activist Morara Kebaso has vowed to continue his anti-government activism despite facing backlash and declining support from his base
  • After requesting funds to facilitate his travels, some critics labeled him a “conman,” while others accused him of being a political “project”
  • In a statement posted on his X account, Kebaso criticized citizens for complaining about bad governance but failing to take action

Political activist Morara Kebaso has vowed to push forward with his anti-government activism, despite growing criticism and waning support from his once-loyal base.

The law graduate, known for his fiery critiques of the current administration, has come under fire after soliciting funds to facilitate his countrywide movements.

In a passionate statement shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday, October 11, 2024, Kebaso blasted fellow citizens for their inaction, accusing them of being “keyboard warriors” who complain on social media without actively participating in civic initiatives or working toward meaningful political change.

“Citizens who complain about bad governance but aren’t willing to form political parties and take that governance away from corrupt individuals… they mock those who try,” Kebaso wrote, expressing frustration at the lack of engagement from many who claim to want better leadership but fail to act.

Despite being labeled a “conman” by some of his critics, Kebaso remains resolute.

He acknowledged the opposition and personal attacks he has faced, particularly from individuals accusing him of being a “project” of political rivals.

“My message to you is simple: look at yourself… Are you a citizen that deserves good leadership, or are you part of the problem?” he challenged his detractors.
