Amidst the glitz and glamour of the event, Dayo Amusa, a prominent figure in Nollywood has come out to shade the decision saying the judges failed terribly.

In a bold move, she took to social media to express her dismay, denouncing the decision as “disrespectful” and “shallow.”

In a video clip that quickly went viral, Amusa questioned the rationale behind honoring Bobrisky’s attire, emphasizing the elegance and effort displayed by the other female attendees.

Her sentiments resonated with netizens, who flooded social media platforms with a myriad of reactions.

From messages of solidarity to speculation about PR stunts, the discourse surrounding the contentious decision continued to gain momentum, as netizens wondered whether it was a right move, as the man identifies himself as a woman.

Even Bobrisky himself weighed in on the matter, graciously acknowledging Amusa’s candid critique.

Netizens reacted saying that probably the organisers were using the crossdresser to market the movie, while others said he was truly outgoing in his style of dressing.

Bobrisky himself was one of the first people to react to Dayo Amusa’s video criticising his win saying: “I love you regardless.”
