  • Otile Brown has retaliated against Bien Aime Baraza, labeling him as broke and asserting that Bien is nowhere near his level of wealth
  • Otile’s scathing response follows Bien’s earlier shade that Otile is a ‘small musician’ who released an album that never made it anywhere
  • All this drama started after the ‘One Call’ hit maker critiqued Bien’s recent collaboration with Ohangla singer Prince Indah saying it was composed of dry melodies

Otile Brown has hit back at Bien Aime Baraza, calling him broke and asserting that Bien himself knows he can’t reach Otile’s level of wealth.

Otile’s sharp retort comes in response to Bien’s previous comments undermining him.

Otile told Bien to shut up, further intensifying the social media drama that began with Otile’s scathing critique of Bien’s latest release with Ohangla singer Prince Indah.

He described it as having “dry melodies and kindergarten lyrics,” with the same flow, tone, and poor song arrangements. This fierce exchange has captivated their fans, drawing significant attention and sparking widespread reactions.

Bien’s Earlier Response

Previously, Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime Baraza had opted out of the ongoing debate on whether Kenya has produced international artists, a discussion ignited by Otile Brown’s assertion that there are currently no East African acts with international status.

While Otile’s statement sparked controversy and divided opinions, with many pointing to Sauti Sol’s success as evidence to the contrary, Bien chose to remain neutral.

The singer-songwriter emphasized his primary focus on creating music that brings him joy and fulfillment, rather than chasing international recognition.

“I really don’t care if I go international or not,” Bien stated, adding that he is more invested in expressing himself through music than achieving global stardom.
