  • Renowned city preacher pastor Kanyari has asked Kenyans to forgive him, hours after Ezekiel Mutua vowed to have him arrested
  • The pastor who broke down while asking for a second chance said he was remorseful for everything that had happened
  • The pastor also asked for forgiveness on behalf of the lady who gifted him condoms, saying she was a new member from Ukambani who had followed him from TikTok

Renowned city preacher Pastor Kanyari has publicly appealed for forgiveness from Kenyans, just hours after Ezekiel Mutua vowed to have him arrested.

In an emotional plea, the pastor, who broke down, expressed remorse for his actions and stated that he has faithfully served God for over 30 years.

He also extended an apology on behalf of the woman who gifted him condoms during a church service, revealing that she was a new member from Ukambani who had seen him on TikTok.

Furthermore, Pastor Kanyari assured that such incidents would not reoccur, explaining that he was taken aback by the unconventional gifts and acted out of frustration.

He urged Kenyans to express their forgiveness in the comments section of his videos, emphasizing that the woman involved was not a born-again Christian and was unaware of the implications of her actions.

Pastor Kanyari defended himself, stating that he refrained from condemning the woman during the live service to prevent any violent reactions from the congregation.

He pleaded for forgiveness repeatedly, acknowledging the backlash he has faced, particularly from the Christian community, and expressed his desire for redemption.

Ezekiel Mutua Vows Action Against Pastor Kanyari Over Controversial Deeds

Previously, we broke the news that MCSK CEO Ezekiel Mutua had broken his silence on the viral video clip showing Pastor Kanyari being gifted condoms during a church service, announcing his intention to take legal action against the pastor.

Speaking at the Film Fupi Academy, Mutua revealed plans to have the pastor arrested and potentially revoke his TikTok license, labeling his actions as ‘insane’.

Video Erupts

The controversy erupted following the emergence of a video, where TikTok personalities interrupted a church service to present Kanyari with condoms and sex lubrication oil.

The clip featured a woman expressing her desire for the pastor and suggesting that the gifts would help him overcome his fear of intimacy.

Social media was left ablaze with condemnations for the pastor and his followers, criticizing them for disrespecting the church and religious values.
