  • Former Nairobi radio presenter Pavin Sigei broke down in a viral video while addressing accusations that he burned his wife’s house
  • He claimed that he had supported her financially throughout their marriage and denied that he intentionally set the house on fire
  • The ex Emoo FM host stated that the incident was coincidental, and that he has witnesses who can confirm he left the home intact

Former Nairobi-based radio presenter, Pavin Sigei, has been thrust into the spotlight after being accused of setting his wife’s house on fire, an incident that has sparked a heated debate on social media.

Sigei, known for his tenure at Emoo FM, took to social media to share his side of the story, breaking down emotionally as he recounted the events leading up to the fire.

In a now-viral video, Sigei claimed he had been a devoted husband, supporting his wife financially and emotionally throughout their marriage.

According to him, he provided everything for his wife, including buying her a car and the very house that was later engulfed in flames.

“I have suffered for over a year,” Sigei tearfully revealed, adding that he had even helped secure his wife a job at the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF). Despite his contributions, he felt unappreciated, stating, “My brothers warned me not to marry her.”

The former radio host also lamented that his wife constantly asked for more money, even when he left substantial amounts, such as Sh 200,000, at home.

His emotional turmoil reached a breaking point, leading him to express his frustrations in the video, although he denied setting the house on fire intentionally.

“Now they are seeing the house, but they don’t know what happened behind the scenes,” he remarked, suggesting that the public didn’t have the full picture.

Sigei firmly denied responsibility for the fire, claiming it was a coincidence and that he had witnesses who could vouch that he left the house intact.

Despite this, social media has been abuzz with reactions, with many expressing shock at the drastic measures taken in response to his marital issues.

While some have sympathized with Sigei’s frustrations, others have condemned the alleged arson, calling for peaceful solutions to relationship conflicts.
