Video Emerges As Mother Lays Hands On His Son, Prays For Him Before Heading To Protests

A video has emerged of a mother fervently praying over her son before he left to protest against William Ruto’s regime.

The video, which shows her blessing him and praying that police won’t use bullets on him, has sparked mixed reactions among Kenyans.

Shared on TikTok, it depicts the boy humbly kneeling as he received his mother’s blessings, with a Nigerian worship song playing in the background.

Though her words are inaudible, her intense expressions of prayer are evident.

The son, dressed in protest attire with a headscarf covering his mouth and nose, is prepared for the demonstration.

The video has touched many hearts, especially as safety concerns grow with more youth taking to the streets.

The TikTok video, which has garnered over 25k likes, saw many users sharing their experiences.

One user, Breshley Kaswitkiller, remarked that the mother’s prayers symbolized protection for all Kenyan Gen Zs protesting and sent her own prayers back to the mother.

Another user, Purple, shared that her mother had warned her of impending danger but she decided to join the protests regardless, asking for her mother’s forgiveness.

User Pascal254 commented that many youths survive because of their mothers’ prayers, while Evergreen Cloths noted that the video highlights the gravity of the situation, as the mother knew the risks yet still blessed her son to fight for a better Kenya.
