Ephas Musisa, a jobless man from Vihiga County, has finally secured employment after a humiliating encounter with Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen went viral.

Musisa’s journey to employment has been marked by hardship and perseverance.

Having lost his job back in 2020 after nearly two decades of employment, Musisa found himself facing the daunting challenge of providing for his family amidst tough economic times.

His desperate plea for a job opportunity caught the attention of the public when a video capturing his encounter with CS Murkomen surfaced online.

Recalling the encounter, Musisa expressed his initial disappointment at Murkomen’s response but was pleasantly surprised to learn that the CS had taken steps to address his situation.

Despite Murkomen’s initial dismissal, he later followed up on Musisa’s matter, ultimately leading to his employment at the Kenya National Highways Authority Project office.

In his own words, Musisa recounted, “I encountered Mheshimiwa Murkomen earlier this week. I didn’t know him personally, but I was aware of him through politics. He asked me what my problem was, and I told him about my joblessness. Initially, he seemed dismissive, but later I was contacted by his team who facilitated my employment.”

With a sense of gratitude, Musisa expressed his appreciation to the Kenya Kwanza regime, particularly President William Ruto, for the opportunity he has been given.

“I thank this government of President William Ruto. I have been searching for a job since the Moi era, through Kibaki’s time, and into Uhuru’s tenure, but I never succeeded until now,” he remarked.
