Kenyan rapper, musician, and entrepreneur Jackson Ngechu Makini, alias CMB Prezzo, collapsed dramatically during the star-studded premiere of EMB Records boss Bahati’s Netflix show, leaving guests scrambling to resuscitate him.

Despite the incident, the event, held at the Westwood Hotel, continued successfully and featured notable attendees like Nadia Mukami and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

CMB Prezzo, has been a prominent figure in the music industry for years.

Born in 1980 at Pumwani Hospital and raised in Eastleigh’s Muyuyu section one, Prezzo’s journey to fame began in his early years. Despite limited information about his childhood and education, Prezzo’s impact on the East African music scene has been profound.

Venturing into music in the early 2000s, Prezzo released his debut album titled ‘Naleta Action’ in 2004, featuring hit songs like “Let’s Get Down” and “Mimi na Wewe.”

Alongside founding the Cash Money Brother (CMB) group with Nazizi and the late Feroze Hirji, Prezzo’s solo career skyrocketed. Despite facing stiff competition from other music groups, CMB dominated local airwaves with their top hits.
