Tanzanian Bongo Flava musician Harmonize expressed surprise and excitement after boarding Tanzania’s new SGR train, comparing its luxurious features to those of an airplane.

The footage showed him boarding the train, exploring its high-end features, and revealing the sleek exterior and terminal area.

He remarked that the station felt like being in Qatar or the United Kingdom, calling it “nothing but a big airport.”

Harmonize encouraged people to experience the train for themselves, posting another video of the train parked at the station.

The SGR train is part of Tanzania’s Vision 2030, aimed at replacing the old, inefficient meter-gauge railway system.

The new railway uses electric locomotives and transports passengers and cargo at speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour, linking Dar es Salaam to Mwanza and neighboring countries Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Each train carries up to 589 passengers and features amenities such as Wi-Fi, special needs seating, air conditioning, and CCTV for security.
