  • A Botswanan man has gone viral after showcasing his tiny, one-door cubicle house, which he built despite financial limitations
  • The Man said he had been Inspired by a beautiful guesthouse he had visited to create a similarly cozy and aesthetically pleasing studio pad
  • Many netizens praised his creativity and determination while others wondered whether an Audi that was parked nearby was his

A Botswanan man has captured the hearts and minds of social media users after showcasing his unique and compact cubicle house.

The house, which is so small that it only has one door and no separate rooms, has sparked mixed reactions online.

Man Shares How Idea Was Conceived

The man shared that the idea came to him after he visited a beautiful guesthouse and was struck by its design. He envisioned creating something equally beautiful and comfortable.

Despite looking at his pay slip and realizing his financial limitations, he resolved to build his dream house. He initially thought he couldn’t afford to build a house, but decided to take things step by step.

Inspired by the guesthouse, he planned a studio pad where the TV would be mounted on the wall, with a shower and toilet in one corner and a wall wardrobe in another.

Determined to make his small space both beautiful and comfortable, he allocated P45,000 from his pocket to make it happen.

He proudly shared that his small room turned out to be more beautiful and comfortable than he had imagined, even preferring it over a larger house.

In his post, he detailed how the idea of the studio pad was conceived and brought to life.

He emphasized that despite the house’s size, it was important for it to be aesthetically pleasing and cozy. With a comfortable place to live, he began planning for a larger project without feeling pressured.

Netizens React

The post, accompanied by photos of his new home, quickly went viral, drawing a flood of reactions from netizens.

Alefu Golden Voice Nhlapo expressed admiration, saying he was inspired by how the man started with a small, conducive space that truly defined him.  “Wow… I’m certainly inspired. You started with a small conducive space that defined you… I love it.”

Tina Modiakgotla echoed this sentiment, saying, “This is absolutely stunning & beautiful, congratulations sir. I’m so much inspired.”

Others admired his determination and the practicality of his creation. “As long as you have your own peaceful space, it doesn’t matter what others say. It’s beautiful,” Paballo Pabi Ramokhali noted.

Nkulumoziyamlandela Sdwaba Sedikazi added, “Big up to you. People will always talk. Funny enough, those who talk a lot have less to show. Starting small is nothing compared to starting big.”

Some comments took a humorous turn, especially regarding the house’s suitability for a future partner. “Wait till someone’s daughter moves in,” joked Baba Dee, prompting a string of playful responses.

“Someone’s daughter must stay at her own house,” replied Babalwa Stacey Stemela, while others joined in with laughter and jokes.

Despite the jokes, many saw the deeper lesson in his story. “A roof over your head is essential, no matter how small… as long as you’re proud of yourself and owing no one,” Busisiwe Buthelezi said.

“You are a man. Always go with what men were made for. This is awesome, you must have something in life that you can show and tell to your spirit that this is me,” Lavhelesani Phophi added.
