From humble beginnings in Nigeria to leading a transformative ministry in Kenya, Apostle Richard E. S. Takim has embarked on a remarkable journey of faith and inspiration.

Born in Boki Local Government, Nigeria, Takim demonstrated exceptional intelligence and a propensity to challenge cultural norms from a young age.

His commitment to compassion and sacrifice for others has defined his life’s mission: to show that the Word of God is timeless and answers all of life’s questions.

By the age of 16, Takim began preaching, and by 23, he had authored books and achieved financial success.

His ministry officially began in 2000 when he was commissioned by his spiritual father after seven years of preparation.

In Nigeria, he became known for challenging erroneous doctrines such as tithing, sowing seeds, and the use of anointing oil.

This stance led to a decade of personal trials, including opposition from friends, family, and fellow ministers.

These challenges, however, refined his mission to empower believers with a true understanding of scripture, free from manipulation.

In 1998, during a prayer session, God revealed to Takim that his mission would begin in Kenya. Initially hesitant due to cultural differences, he embraced this calling in 2013 after a profound spiritual encounter.

Leaving behind a thriving ministry in Nigeria, he moved to Kenya with his newlywed wife, armed only with the Word of God.

Adjusting to a new culture, language, and facing resistance and threats of deportation, Takim persevered. In April 2014, he founded The Cry of the Spirit Ministries in Nairobi.

His message gained traction in December 2015 when he began broadcasting on Truth FM, advocating that “Church is not a money-making machine.” This resonated with many Kenyans, leading to widespread support.

Today, The Cry of the Spirit Ministries has grown significantly, with a large Apostolic Centre in Nairobi, thousands of physical members, and numerous online followers.

In 2019, Takim launched The Morning Cloud Television Global, reaching audiences across Sub-Saharan Africa and globally via platforms like YouTube.

His teachings, which emphasize making Jesus the center of life, have led to numerous testimonies of deliverance, healing, financial breakthroughs, and marital restorations.
