Archdiocese of Nairobi Issues Statement Denying Claims Cardinal John Njue Has Died

  • The Archdiocese’s announcement comes after reports were published on Facebook claiming the Eminence cardinal had finally died after an illness

The Archdiocese of Nairobi has taken a decisive stand against the swirling rumors on social media claiming the death of Cardinal John Njue.

Amid a climate of uncertainty and anxiety, the church issued a statement today, vehemently denying the unfounded allegations that have caused distress among the faithful.

“It has come to our attention that persistent rumors are circulating regarding the alleged death of His Eminence John Cardinal Njue. We wish to categorically state that these claims are entirely false and without foundation,” declared Rt. Rev. Wallace Ng’ang’a Gachihi, whose words sought to quell the mounting fears gripping the community.

“We kindly urge all to refrain from sharing or entertaining unverified information, particularly on sensitive matters such as this,” he implored, his tone reflecting the urgency of the situation.
