  • A Mzungu tourist, who went to Mombasa via SGR, couldn’t contain her joy after seeing wildlife along the way
  •  The woman said it was unbelievable because there was no difference between the experience and a paid safari
  •  Netizens said she hadn’t seen anything as there were places like Rongai with more animals, while hailing the country’s tourism potential

A Mzungu tourist exploring Kenya and embarking on an SGR journey from Nairobi to Mombasa, expressed astonishment at the country’s abundant wildlife.

Sharing her experience on TikTok as @tripwithmads, she admitted to being pleasantly surprised by the plethora of wild animals encountered during her train adventure.

She likened the experience to a deluxe safari, with elephants, lions, and giraffes visible just outside the train’s windows as it snaked its way towards the coast.

What did the woman say about Europe’s wildlife?

The woman, who drew parallels between Kenya and Europe, remarked that Europe paled in comparison when it came to sighting wild animals, highlighting the novelty of spotting them outdoors.

She noted a stark contrast in attitudes, observing how Kenyans seemed unfazed by the abundance of wildlife, unlike in Europe where even a sighting of a squirrel prompts a flurry of camera-wielding enthusiasts.
