  • Veteran rapper Scar Mkadinali and socialite Huddah Monroe have expressed support for Ian Njoroge, who was arrested for assaulting a traffic cop
  • Njoroge’s arrest followed a video showing him attacking the officer, allegedly in retaliation for being humiliated and being asked to pay a bribe
  • While Huddah said Ian’s actions were an act of bravery, Scar hailed that he will even bail him out would the law decide to convict him

Veteran rapper Scar Mkadinali of Wakadinali and socialite Huddah Monroe have shown their support for Ian Njoroge, a boy arrested for assaulting a traffic cop.

This development follows the dramatic arrest of Njoroge, which surfaced online after police traced him to his Jacaranda apartment in Nairobi’s Kayole subdivision.

Njoroge’s arrest was prompted by a viral clip showing him attacking a traffic officer who had allegedly entered his car.

Reports indicated that Njoroge even wielded a sword during their initial altercation inside the car before forcing the officer outside, where he further assaulted him with punches and kicks.

Scar Mkadinali, known for his hit “Sikutambui,” stated he would go as far as bailing Njoroge out if he faced criminal charges.

Scar recalled a similar incident where he was unjustly assaulted by a cop and expressed his commitment to supporting Njoroge.

If lan Njoroge does have a criminal record I will bail him out! Njege masanse KENY Wakwende! For the times these maafakaz beat me up for no reason! #MZIZA #ZOZANATION, Scar wrote.

On the other hand, Huddah Monroe praised Njoroge as one of the few brave Kenyans standing up against police humiliation.

She asserted that his actions were a form of revenge for the extrajudicial killings perpetrated by some officers.

Huddah noted that many Nairobians and Kenyans in general would wish to retaliate against police wrongdoings, which often go unpunished.

I don’t condone vayolence but this boy did what most of us wish we could do back to police back in Nairobi . They arrest, extrajudicial killings on the youths and they go unpunished. IAN NJOROGE Said afadhali kufa sometimes than to condone humiliation. Do you think Kenya would be where it is if our ancestors didn’t fight for their rights ? We are a bunch of cowards Let’s praise the few who stand up for themselves. Huddah said.

In a recently surfaced clip showing the moment security officers apprehended Njoroge, blood could be seen on his teeth, suggesting he may have been beaten by the cops in retaliation for attacking their colleague.
